the end of summer….

Labor Day weekend was spent in Amagansett with Zonda and Jeri. While enjoying Long Island, drinking summer cocktails and eating the local food, we could not pass up the opportunity to pick amazing vegetables from one of the local farms… Quail Hill Farm is one of the original CSA farms in the US.

Farm to Folk Fest

Upstate Loved Cheshire Canning…

While many come to the Riesling Festival to sample the wonderful wines, they also come to taste the foods and buy the crafts of local vendors.
Even though the weather had a few downpours and breezy moments, people still traveled to the 2nd annual festival that was located near the beautiful lake in Canandaigua. Our HoneyHeat ‘Sauce’ and SweetHeat Pickles were liked by many and we are looking forward to next year!

Finger Lake Riesling Festival

The second annual Finger Lakes Riesling Festival will take place on August 14th and 15th in Canandaigua, NY. This year, those who attend the festival will be able to sample wines from more than 14 local producers. In addition to great wines, there will be live entertainment, an arts and crafts marketplace, and a farmers market with outstanding local foods.

Cheshire Canning will be participating in the annual event, sampling our signature HoneyHeat ‘Sauce’ as well as our SweetHeat Pickles. We are excited to be part of the festival, as it that takes place near the town that our cherished recipes were originated.

Getting ready for the Riesling Festival

Cheshire Canning is excited to return upstate in preparation of this weeks’ Riesling Festival. We have visited our local farmers and are busy making many batches of our HoneyHeat ‘Sauce’.

Made in Brooklyn

While being based in Brooklyn, NY, our signature HoneyHeat ‘Sauce’ is made among the beauty of the countryside, in the Finger Lake region. We recently decided to bring our canning home to Brooklyn. Our SweetHeat Pickles are a perfect addition to your summer BBQ’s. If you are not used to bread & butter pickles, try ours… there is a hint of spice in each jar. Like our HoneyHeat ‘Sauce’, we source local farmers to bring freshness to each jar of pickles. Enjoy the 4th!
